A note from the developer

Hey — I'll keep this real with you. I built SendexAPI as a pay-per-use email API that I personally rely on every day for my own projects. No subscriptions, no bloated dashboards — just send email and pay for what you use. It works brilliantly, and I'm genuinely proud of it.

⚠️ Open registration is currently paused.

This is temporary while I sort out the situation described below.

What happened

A wave of spammers found the platform and it created a serious chain of problems:

✦They signed up using stolen credit cards and purchased credits.
✦They blasted spam through the platform at scale.
✦The real card owners discovered the charges and issued multiple chargebacks and refunds.
✦Polar.sh classifies transactional email infrastructure as a high-risk SaaS category — so when the chargebacks rolled in, I found myself in a very difficult position before I could even react.

It was a mess I wasn't equipped to absorb as a solo indie developer. The timing just wasn't on my side.

The app itself is fantastic.

The infrastructure is battle-tested. I use it personally, every day, for my own projects. It's just the business side that hit an unexpected wall. It's genuinely a shame — I loved building this and I know there are developers out there who'd get real value from it. If you're one of them, I'm sorry. I didn't want it to go this way.
